Once again, West Visayas State University (WVSU) has proven that it’s the best nursing school in the Philippines.
WVSU was the top performing school in recently released Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) results, with 100% passing rate on 139 examinees. Also, one of it’s graduates Mark Laurence Latumbo Caro topped the board exam with rating of 84.40% for rank number 7.
Cebu Normal University and Silliman University also had a 100% passing rate but on a lesser number of examinees.
Last year, House of Representatives’ Committee on Higher and Technical Education also cited WVSU as the top nursing school in the country for ‘exceptional performance of their graduates.’
Aside from Caro, St. Paul University Iloilo (SPUI) graduate Zhaine Marie Madrazo Samorro ranked 9th with rating of 84.00 percent.
The nursing board exam was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last May 25-26, 2014 in various testing centers spread out all over the country. In Iloilo, the NLE was given in Jaro National High School and Iloilo Doctors’ College.
A total of 11,225 out of 29,188 examinees passed the NLE. Check the complete results via Infonurses.com:
