On November, twenty Singaporean travel agents will visit to see the different tourist destinations in Western Visayas to help in promoting the attractions.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Director Helen Catalbas said the Singaporean travel agents are expected to arrive on Nov. 10-12 and will tour different sites in Iloilo, Guimaras and Negros Occidental.
She said that among the places to be visited are the Garin Farm in San Joaquin, Iloilo and the beaches; Ruins, which is an old mansion in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, and other natural spots in that province; and Guimaras that is a short respite from Iloilo city and “home of the sweetest mango in the world” with beautiful beaches.
Singaporean agents are here to help market the attractions because international flights from Iloilo to Singapore will be regularly received at the Iloilo Airport of International Standards starting November 9.
