The European Union continues to champion quality higher education as it launches once again its Virtual European Higher Education 2021 in the Philippines from 1 to 2 October 2021.
The higher education fair provides access to information and fosters partnerships between European and Filipino higher education institutions to the benefit of students, academicians, and researchers.
With the theme “Go Higher with EU”, the EU is once again opening its doors for a sustainable partnership with local universities and higher education institutions.
As a centre of excellence in higher education, the EU aims at sharing best practices and approaches from its many outstanding universities and higher education institutions (EHEIs) with their Philippine counterparts.
This partnership aims to enhance student and faculty mobility, research collaboration, joint scientific activities, curricular enhancement, and policy formulation.
Opportunities for mobility and research grants like Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, and Jean Monnet are open for students and educators alike.
Aside from country presentations and live chats with EHEI representatives, alumni, and scholars, this year’s all online fair will feature structured webinars on different areas of specialization.
Local officials and educators will have the chance to request virtual meetings with their EU counterparts to discuss potential linkages and cooperation. A virtual networking event will also take place on 2 October at 7:30PM.
As EHEF 2021 embraces the digital platform, it has also established partnerships with regional hubs including Wesleyan University (Luzon), Silliman University (Visayas), and Xavier University –Ateneo de Cagayan (Mindanao), which will host clustered presentations for students and other members of the academe.
