Ilonggos will have the opportunity to taste fine foods from the United States as the U.S. Department of Agriculture holds a U.S. Fine Foods Show on August 29-30, 2012 at the Days Hotel in Iloilo City.
William Verzani, Agriculture Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, said the event will impart the availability, high quality, and versatility of U.S. foods and beverages through all-day sampling, live cooking demonstrations such as a “Chocolate Madness” and “Spuds on Parade,” seminars by local top chefs, product showcases, and a cocktail networking reception.
Recognizing the interest in the Philippine market among American companies, the annual food show is expected to generate business partnership in the food industry.
The event is an opportunity for food industrialists to network with major suppliers of U.S. products such as beef, poultry, seafood, beverages, wines, cheese, and other food products.
Days Hotel in Iloilo and its sister companies Washington Supermarket and Iloilo Supermart are annual event partners of the US Department of Agriculture and the US Embassy.
Those invited to attend include hoteliers, restaurateurs, café and bar owners, food caterers, supermarket and convenience store owners, food consultants, and food manufacturers in Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Aklan and other nearby provinces.
