The University of the Philippines has launched its Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) Program under the UP-National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG).
No less than UP System President Alfredo Pascual arrived here for the launching on April 22 at the UPV-Iloilo City campus auditorium.
Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog, an alumnus of UP High School in Iloilo and former Alumni president, welcomed the newest program that UP is offering the Ilonggos.
The two are seen exchanging pleasant greetings in the photo.
According to the NCPAG, the DPA program is designed to develop the capability of students to relate basic problems and processes of Philippine public administration to the goals of national development, interpreting day-to-day problems in terms of meaningful generalizations, devising practical solutions to these problems and pointing to their long-range implications.
The DPA program prepares highly qualified students for teaching, research and consultancy as well as for managerial positions in government and nongovernmental organizations.
