Science Castle Asia 2023 is an international conference designed to provide secondary school students with an avenue where they can participate in science challenges, share their research, and showcase their innovative research projects. This year’s theme is “Pioneering Today’s Generation for Future Terra Nova.” The conference is expected to offer a wide array of science-related topics, including environmental and energy conservation, innovation, space exploration, sustainable development, and water and food crisis.
Apart from providing students with exciting activities, the conference will also introduce the Great Teachers Summit, which recognizes the invaluable role of mentors and coaches in the journey of students. Joining the 11 students from UPHSI are their coaches Prof. Raphael Belleza and Prof. Jonny Pornel.
The UPHSI Class of 1998 extended financial assistance amounting to PhP50,000 to help the students pay for the cost of going to Malaysia for the conference. Individuals who wish to extend additional support may visit the office of the UPHSI principal for more information. (Ms. Gerthrode Charlotte Tan-Mabilog, IPO)
