Mayor Jed Mabilog will lead the inauguration of upgraded Iloilo City slaughterhouse located at Barangay Tacas, Jaro on November 16, 2012.
Expected to grace the inauguration of P40-million Double A slaughterhouse are Senator Franklin Drilon and officials of the Department of Agriculture’s National Meat Inspection Service.
The upgraded facility now has, among other conveniences, cold storage and a long line for hogs and cattle — a far cry from the old days of the slaughterhouse when most everything are done manually.
Mayor Mabilog said the operation of the new abattoir will ensure safe and quality meat for residents of Iloilo City and nearby municipalities that will be using the facility.
