In the latest weather advisory issued at 5:00AM of Friday, December 5, PAGASA has declared Iloilo under public storm signal number 1 as Typhoon Ruby continues to move west northwest towards Eastern Visayas.
As of 4:00AM, the location of the center of the cyclone is at 500 kilometers of East Borongan, Eastern Samar. The maximum sustained winds is at 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph, and is expected to move West Northwest at 13 kph.
The estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 – 20 mm per hour (heavy – intense) within the 700 km diameter of the typhoon.

Iloilo City CDRRMC has previously requested that the City Council convene today to declare the Iloilo City under the state of imminent danger in preparation for Typhoon Ruby.
