Typhoon Pablo update: It's signal no. 3 in Iloilo

Weather Bulletin No. 7 on Typhoon Pablo

Typhoon “PABLO” (Typhoon BOPHA) has slightly accelerated as it continues to move towards Siquijor- Negros Oriental area. #PabloPH

At 1600 hours today, the eye of Typhoon “PABLO” was located based on satellite and surface data 60 km Souteast of Dumaguete City (9.0°N, 123.7°E). Maximum sustained winds 160 kph near the cen
ter and gustiness of up to 195 kph. Forecast to move West North West at 24 kph.

Typhoon “PABLO” is expected in the next 24 hours to be 140 km Southwest of Coron, Palawan and 450 km West of Subic, Zambales by Thursday early evening.

PUBLIC STORM WARNING SIGNALS ELSEWHERE IS NOW LOWERED.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 – 18 mm per hour (heavy – intense) within the 500 km diameter of the Typhoon.

Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signals are alerted against possible flash floods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under public storm warning signals #3 and signal #2 are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this Typhoon.

Fishing boats and other sea vessels are advised not to venture out into the Seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin on Typhoon Pablo to be issued at 11 PM today.
