Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has ordered the closure of establishments that opted to continue to hold big events amid concerns on CoronaVirus Disease (COVID-19).
“To all our beloved residents, those who will not follow our Executive Order, we will cancel your permit and close your establishment,” Treñas stressed.
Treñas signed on March 11 Executive Order No. 048 suspending all major public gatherings due to COVID-19 threat until further notice.
“It is imperative to protect the health and safety of the constituents by extending the suspension of public gathering to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 until government agencies and offices will declare COVID-19 controlled and contained,” the order states.
