Iloilo city is welcoming another development that will boost medical tourism here with the entry of stem cell technology courtesy of the Philippine Society for Stem Cell Medicine.
“This is timely with our new tagline ‘Iloilo: city of festivals, wellness and culture’ as we continue to promote wellness programs that will attract medical practitioners, tourists and visitors to come here,” Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said.
Philippine Society for Stem Cell Medicine president Dr. Leo Olarte said a memorandum of agreement will be signed between the association and St. Paul’s Hospital for a stem cell center to serve the needs of Ilonggos.
Stem cell medicine is a new wonder medicine and considered the cure of the future.
It has successfully alleviated the effects of several debilitating diseases today and is considered a good cure for multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, even tuberculosis, diabetes, HIV-AIDS and all other types of degenerative diseases.
