Close to a hundred scholars of the Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) will be financed by generous sponsors until they graduate from four-year travel management and office administration courses.
“The scholarship grant is a great help to our underprivileged but deserving students. The initiative is also a manifestation of active public-private partnership supporting our educational endeavors,” stressed Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog who is also ICCC president and chairman of Board of Trustees.
The program has even attracted an international donor and private individuals who have seen the significance and value education to hopeful Ilonggo youth, said ICCC administrator Mathilde Octavio.
ICCC salutes the sponsors Aug. 16 during their introduction to their beneficiaries and signing of memorandum of understanding.
The donation will be maximized to its full utilization pursuant to the Scholarship Evaluation and Selection Committee and in accordance to donor’s specific instructions.
ICCC shall submit to fund administrator the Statement of Account for the scholar’s tuition and miscellaneous fess and corresponding report on the status of scholar’s academic standing every end of semester.
ICCC will also conduct an annual meeting with sponsors together with the scholars.
