SM Foundation Inc., the social development arm of the SM Group, is once again extending assistance to families affected by the enhanced community quarantine in Iloilo City. This is in partnership with top clothing retail company Uniqlo.
Recently, SM Foundation and Uniqlo were able to distribute ‘kalinga packs’ to affected families of Brgy. Bolilao in Mandurriao district
It can be recalled that SM And Uniqlo have also collaborated with Iloilo City Government to give assistance to the different jeepney associations in the city, the tricycle and trisikad drivers in Jaro, affected residents in Brgy. San Rafael in Mandurriao, as well as in Brgy. Katilingban and North Baluarte in Molo district.
SM Foundation and Uniqlo, together with the local government units in the Municipality of Concepcion in northern Iloilo, also distributed food packs for beneficiaries in the SM Cares Village in Bacjawan Sur in the said town.
These donations are on top of SM’s P170 million support for the government, communities, and hospitals to contain and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical supplies were also allocated to Iloilo City including ventilators, surgical and N95 masks, alcohol, personal protective clothing, raincoats, protective goggles, hygiene kits, nitrile gloves, and shoe covers.
