SM City Iloilo is joining the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, today, June 20, 2019 at 2pm.
In a report by the Philippine News Agency during the previous NSED February of this year in which Iloilo was the host city, Office of Civil Defense 6 Regional Director Jose Roberto Nuñez underscored that the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drills (NSED), aims to strengthen “self-help, mutual-help and public-help” efforts on disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM).
In support of these nationwide initiative, SM City Iloilo continuously provides education and awareness among its customers, employees, affiliates and tenants, as a reminder that natural and man-made catastrophes can happen and everybody should be aware of the proper response when these situations happen.
SM City Iloilo enjoins everyone to cooperate in this initiative by the national government, as safety and awareness involves the community’s support and unity during times of calamities and disasters.
