SM City Iloilo is on the forefront once again in recognizing world class Filipino talent as it honored 14 Ilonggo winners in the recently held World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2016.
The WCOPA was held last July 8 to July 17 in Long Beach, California and and it featured singers, dancers, models, actors, instrumentalists and variety artists from over 50 countries competing for prizes like $400,000 in scholarship, a recording contract and bronze, silver and gold recognitions.
In a statement, SM City Iloilo said that “words are not enough to recognize and acknowledge the pride and honour they have brought not only to the Ilonggos but for the Filipinos as well. It is in this concept that SM City Iloilo wish to recognize their achievement.”
The awarding ceremony was held August 26, 4PM at the Northpoint of the mall, headed by Iloilo City tourism officer Junel Ann Divinagracia and SM City Iloilo executives.
