Update: Monolith Construction & Development Corporation posted the perspective of the proposed SM City Iloilo expansion mall in their website.
The construction firm added that the expansion mall will be 3-storey shopping mall on a 35,576.78 square meters floor area, to be completed in 14 months.
The expansion of region’s biggest mall SM City Iloilo is underway, and they will be implementing new traffic flow effective September 23, 2014.
SM City Iloilo is expanding the main building to the right side, and transferring the transport bay and traveller’s lounge in front-left portion, across the Southpoint and closer to the new pedestrian overpass.
More parking areas will be added on side and back of the expansion mall.

Aside from the mall expansion, SM Prime is also building a 150-room Park Inn by Radisson hotel to complement the mall and keep up with the booming hotel industry in the city.
