It will be an exciting year for SKY postpaid subscribers as the company brings fresh and highly-acclaimed movies and shows streaming on HBO GO starting this January 2021.
Kicking off the new year is the Oscar-winning film, “1917,” from Academy Award winner Sam Mendes. The movie brings the story of two young British soldiers tasked with a near-impossible mission amid the perils of World War I and features acting powerhouses Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, Andrew Scott, and Colin Firth.
Viewers can stream new episodes of the much-awaited US TV drama “The Rook,” which is based on the novel of the same name by Daniel O’Malley and adapted into a screenplay by Stephenie Meyer, of “Twilight” fame. Follow Myfanwy Thomas (Emma Greenwell) every Monday as she fights off malevolent paranormal adversaries using her newly discovered supernatural abilities.
Meanwhile, catch the season premiere of the British crime series “C.B. Strike” this January 21 (Thursday). Join war veteran-turned-private detective Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) as he solves brutal murders with the help of his trusted assistant Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger).
Euphoria fans can anticipate the premiere of the second of its two special episodes entitled, “Euphoria: F*ck Anyone Who’s Not A Seablob,” which drops this January 25 (Monday) at 10 AM.
HBO also treats sports fans with the premiere of its two-part documentary, “Tiger,” following the rise, fall, and epic comeback of pro golfer Tiger Woods. Viewers can catch the premiere of part two this January 18 (Monday) beginning 10 AM.
HBO GO users can also get their Asian viewing fix by streaming the Japanese film “Tora-san, Wish You Were Here.”
