Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog received recently from Art Jimenez (center), president and officers of Rotary Club of La Paz Chapter the donation of 7 tables and 30 chairs for the use of Child-Minding Center at the 2nd floor of City Hall.
The Children’s Educational and Fun Center is an innovative project of Mayor Jed through the city’s Gender and Development (GAD) Team which supervises the facility targeted to be upgraded into a daycare center soon.
Children ages four months to four years are admitted and attended by personnel.
The center accommodates a mini library, study room, TV and DVD educational entertainment system and nursery room. A breastfeeding station is set up beside.
The amenities are manned by a daycare teacher, daycare mom and two aides assisting the children’s needs.
The kids are being taught basics of learning, speaking, writing and comprehension or allowed to play.
Donors have provided toys, books, supplies and equipment for the benefit of children.
