Another premiere mall will soon open in Iloilo City as Gokongwei-led Robinsons Land Corporation is set to open Robinsons Place Jaro in 2016.
UPDATE: Robinsons Place Jaro to open September 8, 2016.
Located at former site of De Paul College in E. Lopez Street, Robinsons Place Jaro will be the second RLC mall in the city. It will feature three floors of popular retail stores complemented by one basement and two surface level parking areas.
Earlier reports said that it will be a ‘Premiere Mall’ with 5 Digital Cinemas and one 3D theather, 330 seat foodcourt and 366 parking slots.
“With the opening of the mall, locals will get access to the latest trends in urban shopping, exciting dining options, and thrilling high definition movies at the mall’s digital and 3D theaters,” RLC said in a statement.
It will have a gross leasable area of about 23,074 sqm for over 250 tenants, anchored by Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Handyman and Robinsons Appliances.
“These new additions to Robinsons Land Corp.’s network of 44 malls all over the country highlight the company’s confidence in the growth areas outside the National Capital Region. We believe that creating these retail hubs in the countryside will offer growth opportunities not only to retailers but also the local entrepreneurs,” Arlene G. Magtibay, Robinsons Malls general manager, said in the statement.
RLC will also open Robinsons malls in Tagum this December, and another branch in Gen Trias, Cavite by March of 2016. [via Source, Image: Urbanscape Philippines]
