Iloilo City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) partnership with Jobstreet has so far generated a listing of more than 600 job openings available in the metropolis.
The user-friendly online platform for employers and applicants for accessible job opportunities helps in reaching more Ilonggos achieve their employment needs.
Mayor Jerry Treñas encouraged applicants to check out Jobstreet for them to choose from various hirings.
Jobstreet microsite is accessible via both its official website and app, allowing jobseekers to search through all posted positions as PESO’s reach has grown beyond Facebook.
“Employers will be better able to choose employees who are right for their business and suited for their company. And they will have more confidence in the kind of workers they will be hiring,” PESO Head Gabriel Felix Umadhay said.
“It gives access to everybody in terms of wherever they are and how Internet connections are available, as it makes jobs inclusive and easily available for everyone. It is PESO’s job to propel job seekers to the right industries, continue expanding our reach to get more partnerships, and make sure that it is really in the best interests of every jobseeker,” Umadhay stressed.
The collaboration pushes PESO’s main mandate of connecting employers and employees while maximizing its reach as it has access to all income brackets from A to E and various social classes, including laborers, doctors, and Information Technology (IT) professionals, among others.
