The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) confers the President’s Award to Iloilo City during its 39th Philippine Business Conference on October 24, 2013.
PCCI chose the city as Presidential Awardee for Business Friendly City Awards for “commendable efforts in Local Economic Development Program, particularly its outstanding initiatives which enabled the City to become vibrant and attractive destination for investment.”
Iloilo City is the first city to receive the President’s Award. Iloilo Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iloilo president Joeboy Agriam represented Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog in an awarding ceremony held in Manila Hotel, Manila City.
Aside from the city, Guimbal was also awarded as most business friendly municipality. Mayor Christine Garin was present to receive the recognition.
