MORE Power employees took a well-deserved break from their daily tasks and channeled their energy into friendly competition during the company’s annual SportsFest.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for workers across various departments to strengthen camaraderie and showcase their competitive spirit. Teams were formed from different departments, with each employee enthusiastically participating and even preparing their own creative cheers to boost morale.
MORE Power President and CEO Roel Castro kicked off the festivities by leading the ceremonial jump ball for the highly anticipated basketball game. “SportsFest is a key part of our employee engagement efforts,” Castro shared. “To the newcomers, be ready because here at MORE Power, everyone is competitive.”
This SportsFest is a significant element of MORE Power’s employee program, designed to promote teamwork and leadership while recognizing the hard work of its employees, who consistently strive to provide excellent service to the people of Iloilo.
“With the teams collaborating, you can see leadership skills emerging from different employees,” said Daphne Karina de Pedro, Vice President of Human Capital Management at MORE Power. “Through these games, we hope employees enjoy themselves and develop other skills. Happy employees are more productive, and this, in turn, translates to better service for the public.”
The event, which began on September 30, will run until the end of October, with selected games hosted at the Western Institute of Technology Gymnasium.
