MORE Power, the sole distribution utility in Iloilo City, recently honored its employees for their outstanding contributions as the company successfully fulfills its five-year development plan.

As part of its anniversary celebration this month, MORE Power gathered its workforce for a special evening dedicated to recognizing their unwavering commitment and dedication to service.

“Your batch has endured and stayed with the company not just for employment but because you believe in our mission. That is why you have remained. I sincerely congratulate tonight’s service awardees, who make up almost half of our workforce,” said an elated Mr. Castro during his speech.

Working in the power industry presents numerous challenges, especially in Iloilo City, where a complete overhaul of infrastructure was necessary. This included upgrading substations, replacing electric poles, rewiring power lines, and modernizing meters to ensure reliable electricity for consumers.

“I know that our work is not easy. Rain or shine, day or night, with overtime, problems, and trials, you have remained steadfast. Once again, I sincerely congratulate all of you,” Castro added.

One of MORE Power’s most significant achievements is its Underground Distribution System, which has gained recognition not only in Iloilo City but also on a national level.

Beyond infrastructure improvements, the company has successfully eliminated illegal connections, streamlined the application process for new consumers, and provided round-the-clock assistance.

Despite its modernization efforts, MORE Power continues to maintain one of the lowest electricity rates in Western Visayas.

“We strive to provide the best service to our consumers. For me, it comes down to two key factors: delivering reliable, uninterrupted, and affordable electricity while treating our customers as valued clients,” Castro emphasized.

With its ongoing expansion in Iloilo City and Negros, Castro remains optimistic about the company’s continuous growth and its ability to deliver exceptional service at a reasonable cost.

Through the dedication of its employees, MORE Power is not only shaping the future of the energy sector but also making a significant contribution to Iloilo’s economic progress.
