Tears of joy streamed down the face of 50-year-old cook Janneth Dela Cruz as she received an unexpected visit from MORE Power at her home in Brgy. Mansaya, Lapuz, on Friday morning. As the company’s 100,000th customer, Janneth received an incredible gift package to celebrate this significant milestone.
The team, led by Ms. Ma. Cristina Cabalhin, VP for Customer Care and Marketing, arrived at Janneth’s home to deliver an array of household items and appliances, including an oven, dough mixer, rice cooker, electric fan, washing machine, and more. She also received groceries, baking supplies, Php 17,800 worth of gift certificates, and Php 40,000 in cash to assist with home repairs. The thoughtful package aims to support Janneth’s cooking and baking work, which helps her provide for her family.
“Ma’am, you are our 100,000th customer. We wanted to celebrate this milestone with you,” said Ms. Cabalhin during the surprise event.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po, sa dami po namin, ako pa po yung napili. Salamat talaga, MORE Power, Salamat din po sa President kay Sir Roel Castro po, salamat po talaga. Thank you talaga sa staff sang MORE at ako ang napili ninyo,” Janneth shared tearfully, deeply moved by the recognition and support.
The impact extended to Janneth’s mother, Simonia Gioneo, who has seen her daughter’s efforts to support their family.
“Siya lang na gabaka-baka ubra, tatlo man lang kabataan ya. Madamu gid nga Salamat sa MORE Power ilabi na gid sa ila staff, ilabi na gid sa nagdul-ong,” Simonia expressed, thankful for the assistance given to Janneth.
MORE Power’s recent milestone of reaching 100,000 customers is a testament to the company’s steady growth. Since February 2020, when the company took over as the distribution utility for Iloilo City, the customer base has grown from 62,000 to 100,000, reflecting a cumulative growth rate of approximately 59.8%. This achievement underscores MORE Power’s focus on customer satisfaction through programs like the MORE Konek Program, which prioritizes swift and accessible service connections.
“Our growth is a testament to the trust and support we’ve built within the Iloilo community,” said Roel Castro, President and CEO of MORE Power. “We are dedicated to enhancing our services and ensuring that our customers feel valued every step of the way.”
In recognition of this milestone, Castro envisioned a “pasasalamat” package for the 100,000th customer as a gesture of appreciation. He emphasized that MORE Power’s success is not just about numbers, but about creating meaningful relationships with customers and delivering reliable electricity to the community.
As MORE Power continues its journey in Iloilo, the company remains committed to strengthening its infrastructure and services to meet the evolving needs of its expanding customer base. With a mission focused on customer care and community engagement, MORE Power aims to contribute positively to the local economy and the lives of the people it serves.
