Merzci, the brand known for its delicious bread and pasalubong treats from Bacolod, has expanded its operations in Iloilo by opening another branch at Delgado street on April 13.
Merzci is the market brand of CM & Sons Food Products, Inc., which started as a family business in 1995. It began as a small bakery supplying breads to a single store at the Libertad Market in Bacolod City and soon evolved to a shop offering pasalubong products, water, and even fast food meals and snacks on some branches.
With its high quality breads at affordable prices, combined with aggressive marketing strategies and the ingenuity of youth, it did not take long for the company to establish its own branches around the City of Smiles and supply products to satellite dealers all over the Negros Island and Iloilo, and even reaching as far as Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Manila, and Cebu.
Used to be known as Merci, the company rebranded to Merzci in October 2014 and continued its competitiveness in the food market with its high quality products, and it remains the most preferred pasalubong shop with more than 40 outlets nationwide.
The Merzci Iloilo-Delgado branch is a bakeshop and pasalubong center carrying a wide array of pasalubong treats such as barquillos, barquiron, banadas, egg crackers, assorted tarts, pinasugbo, and of course its delicious siopao and hot piaya.

Merzci will also open a bigger store – a restaurant serving delicious snacks, hot meals, and scrumptious breakfast, lunch and dinner selections along JM Basa Street – tentatively on May 13, 2016.
