Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has relieved and reassigned Market Supervisor V Vincent de la Cruz of the Local Economic Enterprise Office (LEEO) and reassigned to perform executive duties at the office of the city mayor.
Memorandum Order No. 47 Series of 2014 takes effect immediately upon receipt and remains valid until revoke by Mabilog.
The order was issued in the exigency of public service as the Market Committees is conducting market inspections in the seven public markets here starting at the Iloilo terminal market.
Similarly, Mabilog also issued MO No. 46, Series of 2014designating city administrator Norlito Bautista as officer incharge of the LEEO in addition to his present functions and responsibilities as City Administrator.
Bautista also announced the designation of executive assistant and former city councilor Ely Estante as the LEEO point person to take charge and oversee the operation of the seven public markets and slaughterhouse as provided for in the city Market Code.
Estante and Bautista have slated a meeting with all markets in charge on the new directions of the LEEO as instructed by Mabilog to make the public markets viable and profitable.
The market committee is composed of the city mayor as chairman with Bautista as his representative to the committee, city councilor Rodel Agado, Estante, city legal officer Atty. Dan Dinopol and Jinny Hermano as representative city treasurer Katherine Tingson. By Lydia C. Pendon
