Iloilo city’s participants to the 10th National Science Quest in Baguio City did not disappoint when they went home with top honors in the recently concluded event.
Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog lauded students from the SPED-Integrated School for Exceptional Children who placed third in the high school category; and the pupils from Iloilo Central Elementary School who finished fourth runner-up in the elementary category.
“These youngsters have proven that Ilonggos can really excel and compete with other students in the national level especially in the field of science. We are extremely proud of their achievements,” Mayor Jed said.
The 10th National Science Quest aims to promote academic excellence in science and create camaraderie and sportsmanship among students, pupils and coaches.
Organized by the Association of Science Educators in the Philippines, the competition was held February 8 to 10 at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City.
