Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog gets the surprise of his life when he was presented with “The Distinguished Service Award” coming from the Bankers Association of Iloilo, Inc.
“I am thankful they have recognized my efforts for the good of the city,” he said. “This is the first time they have given this kind of award to a local chief executive.”
Bankers Association president Ma. Victoria Jarantilla together with her Board of Trustees and Directors presented the award to the mayor.
They cited Mayor Jed’s “exemplary service and unconditional support to the organization which is worthy of emulation, through the crafting of business-friendly policies and its required executive and legislative agenda that makes the business of banking operate in an environment that is safe, stable and conducive to growth, thus ensuring economic prosperity not just for the bankers but for the City and People of Iloilo, as a whole.”
