Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo launches “Art of Giving: Make it your piece of heart”, the Iloilo leg of Marriott Manila’s charity art exhibit with the theme “A Series of Grateful Exhibition – KALOOB”.
A CSR initiative in partnership Rotary Club Passport One in collaboration with One Gallery which will run from July 25 until August 31.
A portion of the fund that will be raised from every art piece sold will go to the chosen beneficiary of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo through the Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – The Philippines, and philanthropic endeavors of Rotary Club Passport One, while showcasing the works of world-class Filipino visual artists.
“Art of Giving” is a synergistic project with Rotary Club Passport One, Marriott Hotel Manila and Marriott Worldwide Business Councils – The Philippines which was launched in November 2022.
Currently, Art of Giving has an ongoing art display at the “Link by Marriott” also carrying the theme, “Grateful Exhibitions” featuring the artists: Celeste Lecaroz, Raymond Cruz, Jovel Ruivivar, Fil Dumalo III, Manny Buñag, Meroy Castrillo, Eugie Varona Dela Cruz, and Joelito Pagalan.
For the Iloilo City leg, the theme is “KALOOB” featuring the following Iloilo artists: Jeanroll Ejar, Tyrone Dave Espinosa, Orland Espinosa, Melvin Guirhem and George Brasileño with guest artist, “Sam Penaso”.
The exhibition promises to be more than just a display of art; it is a heartfelt celebration of gratitude, collaboration, and the transformative power of creative expression.
As visitors step into the exhibition, they are suddenly immersed in the beautiful experience of creative diversity and cultural exchange within the roster of artists for this show. Each piece is a unique story, a beautiful reflection of the rich cultural landscape that our local regions have to offer.
This lineup presents a wonderful combination of works that challenge the aesthetic dynamics of both figuration and abstraction, a proof that one cannot simply cage creative expression into a box of given stereotypes.
These works honor the beauty of life and give thanks to the creator, the one source of all the creative wonders that encompass us all. In essence, this exhibition expands the idea of giving thanks in many ways and how it transforms into an act of dispersing grace and blessings through different actions, no matter how small.
This exhibition is a celebration of winning moments, inclusivity, freedom, and, most of all, a towering expression of gratitude.
All the art pieces on display of these featured artists at the lobby of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo are for sale. Interested buyers may approach the hotel’s front office or contact the numbers provided at the exhibit. Everyone can buy an artwork and make it their piece of art.
