Artworks of some of Iloilo’s most respected and recognized contemporary artists under the Himbon group are now on display at Molo Mansion in an exhibition dubbed as “Individuation”.
“We would like to highlight that all artists are unique, and everyone of us wanted to be considered as individually unique, that’s why we thought of the title ‘Individuation,'” Prof. Martin Genodepa explained.
Individuation features abstract works of Ed Defensor, Oscar Penasales, Marrz Capanang, and Alex Ordoyo. Figurative works of Gina Apostol, Vic Fario, Dodjie Tan, and Anthony Castillo.
Masterpieces of Alan Cabalfin, Harry Mark Gonzales, James Salarda and Genoda are also part of the exhibition.
“The exhibit is a testament of the ever active and flourishing art scene in Iloilo City,” said Sonny ‘Yob’ Tolentino.
Tolentino also announced that SM, who owns and manages Molo Mansion, is officially opening the 2nd level of the historic mansion as an art gallery.
“We’re gonna have a regular exhibits here, a new exhibit every month where we will feature new media everytime.”
“So if you wanna have a new art experience every month, just come here at the Molo Mansion and enjoy new artworks,” added Tolentino.
Individuation art exhibition will run until September 15, 2018.
