The Iloilo International Guam donated funds for the victims of typhoon Pablo that hit the Philippines last year.
Typhoon Pablo(international name Bopha) is remembered to hit the Philippines in early December 2012, leaving
more than a thousand deaths and over 800 missing. It also incurred Php 42.2 B in damages to property, infrastructure, and agriculture among others.
Hence, the Iloilo International Guam turned over to the Philippine Consulate General on January 16 a check amounting to $1,000 as its donation to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the benefit of the victims of typhoon Pablo that devastated the southern Philippines last month.
Iloilo International President Eduardo Cabales and the group’s adviser, Art Salomes, handed over the check donation to Consul General Bayani V. Mangibin. Also present were Vice Consul Maria Paz G. Cortes, Cultural Officer Mildred C. Sayurin, and Finance Officer Bernadette Galura.
