All Iloilo City-run public elementary and high schools will be connected to wireless Internet and installed with more units in their computer laboratories.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has directed the schools to check the inventory of their computer equipment and online connection requirement.
“We will provide Wi-Fi access to all city public schools. We will see if we can get telecom provider partners, if not, the City Government will pay for it. We are also talking with call center companies that are changing their computer units for possible donations to schools,” he said.
“We have to prepare students into graduates that are trained or trainable who might as well want to work in call centers,” Treñas added. (Iloilo City PIO)
