Iloilo City has been officially recognized as the Overall Most Competitive Highly Urbanized City in Region 6, further solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable urban development and responsive governance. The award was conferred by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the Western Visayas Creativity Forum cum Competitive Local Government Unit (LGU) Awards held on November 4, 2024, at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao.

The prestigious honor reflects Iloilo City’s remarkable achievements across multiple pillars of competitiveness, showcasing its commitment to growth, innovation, and public service excellence. As part of this recognition, Iloilo City also clinched five 1st place awards in key areas, including:
