The Iloilo City Government started Thursday, September 22 a one-week dry-run to straighten flaws that may affect the flow of the new system of permit processing.
This is another milestone in making Iloilo City business-friendly under the leadership of Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog.
A series of meetings was conducted to discuss measures to further streamline issuance of clearances of various offices involved in the system to cut down the business permits licensing process to one day.
The Technical Working Group is composed of representatives from Office of City Zoning Administrator, City Treasurer’s Office, City Engineer’s Office, Bureau of Fire and Business Permits and Licensing Office together with City Administrator Atty. Hernando C. Galvez.
The new process will significantly cut-down the number of steps; eliminate duplication of documents, and processing time for business registration.
This is in compliance with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Department of Information Communication and Technology (DICT) Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2016-01.
This is also in line with the directive of President Rodrigo R. Duterte to limit the licensing system to a maximum of three days. [via PNA]
