The Iloilo City Government has set up a digital information kiosk at the ground floor of City Hall to give the public easier time looking for departments and offices, as well as the fees needed for every transaction.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said the touch-screen information kiosk is based on the city’s Citizens Charter, and part of the metro’s bid to be attuned with the digital times.
“This is to better serve our clients who come to City Hall each day, seeking for information about our programs and services, to transact, and to avail of what the local government has to offer,” he said.
The information kiosk is currently on a “soft opening” this week, according to Information Systems Office officer-in-charge Francis Cruz.
“We hope to really launch it by next week; but for now, it is still being configured so the content will be more easily understood and user-friendly,” Cruz said. (Iloilo City PIO)
