The Iloilo City Government was awarded as one of the Top Employers in Government Sector for Visayas by the Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG) Fund.
Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) Assistant Department Head Josephine Agudo, City Accountant’s Office Supervising Administrative Officer Victoria Madrazo, and City’s Fund coordinator Ma. Theresa Abong, received the plaque in behalf of the City Government at Grand Convention Center in Cebu April 30.
“The award signified that we at City Government work hand in hand with Pag-IBIG fund in order to gain savings for the benefit of the employees and it also shows how efficient we are,” Madrazo said.
She said the factors considered for the award were the number of members enrolled in the Pag-IBIG program, increase in premiums, updated remittances, and enrollment in Modified Pag-IBIG 2 (MP2) savings program.
The City Hall has some 1,800 employees enrolled in Pag-IBIG.
The “Pag-IBIG Star” award’s Member Service Cluster for government agencies category awardees also included Cebu City Government and Philippine Army-8 Finance Service Field Office in Calbayog, Samar. (Merianne Grace Ereñeta/Iloilo City PIO)
