The Iloilo City government is offering two more vocational courses in response to the increasing number of youths having interests on availing of skills training that are accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the courses include housekeeping and emergency medical service that will be supervised by the Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC).
Classes will be be held at the third floor of the Diamond Jubilee Hall along Mabini and Gen Luna Sts.
The two new courses offered is an answer to the growing demand of overseas jobs especially for domestic workers and caregivers.
Students looking for jobs abroad will be prepared and skilled enough to meet the challenges of their work.
Meanwhile, TIIC has been offering TESDA-accredited courses with National Certificate (NC) to include Carpentry NC II, Masonry NCII, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Plumbing NC II, Shielded Metal Arc NC I and NC II, Massage Therapy NC II and Processed Food NC II. [via PNA]
