The Iloilo City Government will start releasing the mid-year bonus of its employees on May 15.
Mayor Jose Espinosa III issued on May 7 Memorandum Circular CMO No. 069 series of 2019 to all heads of departments and offices, division chiefs, and employees of the City Government for the release of mid-year bonus.
The release of bonus is in compliance with Section 5 of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Circular No. 2017-2 or the Rules and Regulations on the grant of mid-year bonus for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 and years thereafter, and DBM Circular Letter No. 2019-7 dated March 26 or the release of fund for the second quarter of FY 2019.
“The mid-year bonus will be of big help to our employees. They can use it to buy their families’ daily needs, allowances, tuition fees, and school-related fees of their children,” Espinosa said.
Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) head Leo Elevencione said those who can avail of the mid-year bonus are all regular employees, those regular employees hired on or before Jan. 15, 2019, and those contractual employees who were hired through the issuance of appointment.
