The Iloilo City Government is now accepting college applicants for the Pag-Ulikid Scholarship for school year 2019-2020.
Mayor Jose Espinosa III said the Educational Financial Assistance Program aims to help less-privileged but deserving students in the metropolis.
The scholarship is open to all incoming first year college students who are enrolled in any course offered by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in any university here except at Iloilo City Community College.
Applicants must be residents of Iloilo City of good moral character. Both parents or legal guardian have a total income of not exceeding P200,000 per annum for the last two years.
The applicant must have obtained a general average of 85% and no final rating lower than 80% in any subjects in the final year in high school; and must obtain 85% score in the competitive exam to be given by City Government Scholarship Commission through the City Local Youth Development Division.
The applicants should submit an accomplished scholarship application form; two passport-sized colored pictures; certificate of residency issued by Punong Barangay both for the applicant and his/her parents or legal guardian; certificate from the City Commission on Elections (Comelec) that the applicant’s parents or legal guardian are registered voters of Iloilo City; Income Tax Return (ITR) if any, or both parents or the legal guardian have business or self-employed; BIR Form 2316 for 2017 and 2018 if parents or the legal guardian is employed; Tax Exemption Certificate issued by BIR if parents or legal guardian belongs to non-formal employment; Form 138; and certificate of good moral character.
