Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has officially recognized and accredited the Iloilo City Community College (ICCC), the spokesperson of Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog revealed online.
Rey Delfin first posted in his Facebook account the ‘good news’ that the ICCC is the first community college to be accredited by CHED after the lifting of moratorium on the establishment of community colleges supported by local government units.
CHED officials also lauded the competency-based education program of the ICCC that makes the students employable on every level of the four-year course. The competency based program certifies the competency of students through NC2 on different skill sets.
ICCC is 100% fully subsidized by Iloillo City government, and it has hundreds of students coming from less fortunate members of the community enrolled on Travel Management and Office Administration courses.
Around 200 students will be the pioneer graduates by March next year.
Congratulations to the men and women of ICCC , to the able leadership of Ms Matty Trenas, the staff and the teachers.
The Iloilo City Community College, under the leadership of Ms. Mathilde Treñas as school administrator, is part of priority program on education, under the 10 point agenda of Mayor Mabilog.
