Once again the city government through Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will conduct Iloilo City Charter Day Job Fair on August 25, 2013 in Robinson’s Place Iloilo.
Over a thousand jobseekers are expected to participate in the Job Fair during the celebration of the 76th charter day of this southern city.
City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog is giving his all-out support to the charter day Job Fair to process and register job applicants for posting in local job placements and overseas posting, according to Cookie Benitez, head of the city public employment service office (PESO).
A total of 38 local and 23 Manila-based business corporations have registered to join the city job fair for local posting and abroad. Available are job placements for the Middle East and United Kingdom especially for nurses, engineers and skilled construction workers. While domestic helpers and marketing people are in great demand in the Middle East.
Local corporations are in need of business process outsourcing call center agents, fastfood crew servicing, salesmen, construction workers and other local job placements.
Benitez said the city PESO is holding at least seven job fairs from January to December this year and many local applicants. The applicants are requested to pre-register until August 23 at the city PESO in order for easy and smooth interviews while walk-in applicants are also accepted.
