The Iloilo City Government is strengthening all its efforts and operations amidst the rising cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the metro.
In a meeting with COVID team and key departments of City Hall, Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has ordered the re-establishment of the Iloilo City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at Penthouse 2, from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Motorpool at Delgado Street.
“We have to refocus and check on the gaps so we can find solutions and to better address the community transmissions,” he said.
“If you are part of the contact tracing, you should not be afraid to be swabbed and undergo strict quarantine in the meantime that results are not yet out,” said Treñas.
Agreements and protocols were established to guide the city in its anti-COVID operations, and management of cases and quarantine facilities.
For the transport of COVID-19 positive patients, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) ensures availability of seven vehicles including three modern jeeps and two ambulance units.
For transport of close contacts, the General Services Office (GSO) uses three vehicles.
For contact tracing, the City Health Office (CHO) will provide list to CDRRMO for the latter to fetch patients.
GSO administers PPEs distribution and each barangay is given two PPEs to be used during conduct of testing.
Barangays will also be the ones to do the decontamination process once a positive patient is pulled out from their area of jurisdiction.
Releasing of RT-PCR results is coursed thru Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to the quarantine facility manager to the police assigned at the area.
For Fishing Port: crew will not be allowed to get off the vessel; disinfection of vessel in the morning and afternoon; assign washing area, foot pads, and alcohol; no eating and cooking; issue IDs; and trading time of 5pm-10pm.
For BPOs: two meters between workstations and 50 percent work from home.
For City Hall: 55 years old and above are on work from home (WFH) scheme and pregnant regular employees to be on WFH arrangement.
For Barangays: protocols to be announced in their PA system and conduct rikorida.
Positive cases not found will be endorsed to CHO and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to include in the tracing. (Iloilo City PIO)
