The delivery took place at the MITSCOOP Headquarters in Jaro, Iloilo City where LTFRB Region VI Director Richard Osmena along with MITSCOOP officers led by their Chairman Josemarie delos Reyes received the vehicles from HMP President Mr. Shingo Sakai.
This new fleet of modern PUVs will ease the day-to-day transport of Iloilo City commuters as they ply six routes around the city coursing through Barrio Obrero, Ungka via CPU, Ungka via Diversion Festive Walk Hub, La Paz via ISAT-U, Hibao-an via Tabucan and Bito-on to Jaro via Balabago routes.
This delivery hikes up MITSCOOP’s fleet of Hino PUVs to almost 200 units since their initial requirement in 2021. “Hino is a trusted name in the transportation industry. [Of] quality and durable, [we had] no problem in parts supply and aftersales servicing,” said Mr. delos Reyes when asked why they choose Hino.
The PUV Class 2-S, Hino’s latest model in this segment features a much wider stance at approximately 2,100 mm width providing extra space and improved comfort for passengers. This vehicle is mounted on a Japan-made Hino chassis and a PUV body designed and built also by Hino so users are assured of quality inside and out.
True to Hino’s mission of creating a better world and future by helping people and goods get to where they need to go, Hino’s modern PUVs connect people and communities by offering safe and clean mobility for all. Ms. Gen Aguillon Chiong, CPA president of Hino Panay also reiterated their commitment to support the cooperative’s operations by ensuring that parts and service are available whenever needed by MITSCOOP.
