Finally, some 2,281 health workers in the Province of Iloilo will receive their long-awaited One Covid Allowance (OCA) for 2022. The Department of Health (DOH) has downloaded the funds for OCA of these health workers to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of the Iloilo Provincial Government this June 7.
A total of 1,142 provincial paid vaccinators, Health Management Office personnel, and PHO personnel were able to avail of the OCA for May 2022, while 1,139 health workers were able to avail of it for June 2022.
These health personnel will get OCA of up to P9,000 if they were assigned in high-risk areas depending on the number of days they were exposed.
The PHO ensures that the OCA will be released this month of June. The OCA is given to health workers serving the nation in response to COVID-19.
According to PHO head, Maria Socorro Quinon, some payrolls have already been signed in the office of the Provincial Accountant and forwarded to the Treasurer’s Office. The payout will depend on the accounting process, and Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. may issue an Executive Order for the cash payout.
The OCA for January to April 2022 has already been received by health workers, while the OCA for July to December 2022 has not been funded by the DOH yet as of June 20, 2023. (via Radyo Pilipinas Iloilo)
