The Haw-as International Sports Arena and Market Mall will soon rise in the progressive town of Dumangas. The twin groundbreaking ceremonies took place on Monday led by 4th District Congressman Ferjenel Biron, together with Mayor Braeden John “Toto BJ” Biron, local government officials, and project engineers.
Four months since their assumption of office, both Congressman Ferj and Mayor BJ are delivering on the key platforms of their campaigns that focused on infrastructure development, envisioned to uplift the economy, sports, and tourism.
The PHP 250-M Market Mall, PHP 200-million sports arena, and a planned new municipal hall are developments mirroring the same formula for the town of Barotac Nuevo where the first Market Mall rose together with the Tamasak International Sports Arena and the new municipal hall.
“These projects are among the largest investments for our administration and depict our clear commitment, together with Mayor BJ Biron, towards advancing Dumangas and the entire 4th District,” said Cong. Biron.
Barotac Nuevo’s Market Mall and Tamasak Arena are recognized as state-of-the-art infrastructures and are proven as model developments essential to the progress of the town. This had become a factor for pursuing the two projects for Dumangas.
“The heart of the economy of every town is the market. That’s why we focused on always improving the market to uplift the people,” said Toto BJ.
Haw-as Arena is envisioned as a genuine recreational complex where events– local and international can take place, and people can engage and celebrate. Moreover, the Market Mall is expected to elevate the business and market experiences for both customers and merchants in the town.
Once completed, the two facilities are expected to draw in more tourists and visitors with the expansive venue for such events as recreation, concerts, cultural presentations, and other activities.
