ILOILO CITY, PHILIPPINES – Emerging Ilonggo artist Hanns Buendia officially launches his music career with the release of his debut single, “Please Say.” Written by Jim Lamigo, the song is now available on all major streaming platforms, delivering a heartfelt and cinematic portrayal of love experienced on the road.
Inspired by real-life moments, “Please Say” is more than just a love song—it’s a road trip anthem that captures the thrill of adventure, the intimacy of shared drives, and the kind of love story that unfolds behind the wheel. The song was born out of Jim Lamigo’s personal experiences, as most of his dates were spent cruising through Iloilo City—the City of Love—and exploring the beauty of Panay Island. Those late-night drives, deep conversations, and stolen glances from the passenger seat became the heartbeat of “Please Say.”
“Every meaningful moment I had in love seemed to happen in a car—driving through city lights, stopping by cafés, getting lost on purpose,” said songwriter Jim Lamigo. “That’s where the inspiration for ‘Please Say’ came from. It’s about the kind of love that makes every journey exciting, no matter where the road leads.”
Blending nostalgic storytelling with an upbeat melody, “Please Say” takes listeners on an emotional ride—starting from the rush of excitement in the first verse, to the carefree joy of singing in the car, and ending with the heartfelt plea: “Please say that you will stay.”
“This song is a soundtrack for anyone who has ever fallen in love on the road—those moments where the journey feels just as important as the destination,” said Hanns Buendia.
