The Government Express at the Mall opened Monday at the SM City Iloilo that will run until September 12 as part of the month-long 113th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration.
The Government Express at the Mall is a one-stop shop of agencies providing frontline services, information and promotion of government programs and projects.
Different government agencies have set up information desks inside SM City to attend to inquiries and provide services to the public.
Last Saturday, the Civil Service Regional Office 6 also held a R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run participated in by government employees and private citizens also at SM City. Proceeds of the Fun Run went to the Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayan for the benefit of families of public officials and employees who died in the line of duty.
The Honor Awards Program (HAP) recognition rites, another major highlight of the month-long celebration, will be held Sept. 12 at SM City. The event will recognize the 2013 HAP semi-finalists from Region 6 for their exemplary performance, innovations, and accomplishments in government service.
This year’s semi-finalists are Local Government Operations Officer VI Maricel M. Bechayda for Pagasa Category; Philippine Health Insurance Corporation VI Regional Vice President Dennis S. Mas for Lingkod Bayan Category, and Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog for Lingkod Bayan Category.
The Awarding of Agencies (Seal of Excellence) will be held on Sept. 13.
The theme for this year’s celebration is, “Tatak Lingkod Bayani: Isabuhay, Ipagmalaki, at Ipagbunyi.” (Source:PNA)
