Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog, Cong. Jerry P. Treñas, and Senator Franklin Drilon graced the unveiling of Gaisano Iloilo City Center (ICC) by Gaisano Capital Group in Diversion Road, Mandurriao, Iloilo City on January 18, 2013.
“Unveiling this new project sends a clear message to all of us – it is a message that makes crystal the confidence of investors in Iloilo City’s positive business climate; it is a message that clearly says the people of the City and Province of Iloilo will benefit immensely from the impressive complex of new facilities forthcoming in this place; it is a message that loudly proclaims public and private partnership is alive and well in Iloilo City,” Mayor Jed said.
The P2-billion 15-hectare ICC, a mixed-use commercial and residential complex will host a 40-storey Gaisano Tower, mall, trade hall and convention center, church and offices.
The new business hub will also feature a 10-meter canal encompassing half of the property which will become a tourism attraction, said Carlos Legara, vice-president of Gaisano Capital Group for Western Visayas.
The Gaisano ICC will take advantage of its riverfront location by creating a canal that goes through the property complimented on the sides with promenades, restaurants and shops, and tree-lined walkpaths to encourage the a walkable community for residents, office workers and visitors.
The high rise buildings shall serve as a beacon in Iloilo to draw people from all over the city into the business, dining and entertainment hub. Sustainable design features will be present in the structure and facilities to be built in the center.
