A Duty Free Philippines (DFP) shop was opened at the Iloilo Airport in Cabatuan January 28.
Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog graced the blessing and inauguration of the store together with DFP officials and Regional Director Helen Catalbas of the Department of Tourism 6.
“We are pleased that Duty Free is already here to satisfy the shopping needs of international travelers and tourists that visit Iloilo,” he said.
The store caters to arriving passengers (regular Filipino travelers, foreign tourists, balikbayans, overseas Filipino workers); departing passengers with confirmed bookings destined to foreign countries immediately before boarding their flights; and diplomatic personnel/personnel of other foreign governments and offices of international organization, institutions, associations and agencies entitled to tax and/or duty exemption as endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Duty Free offers products like liquor, cigarettes/tobacco, fragrances and cosmetics, fashion accessories/apparels, electronics, sporting goods, chocolates/confectioneries, home furnishings, housewares and grocery items.
