The Department of Health (DOH) Region 6 office needs 965 registered nurses for RN Heals 4 project to be deployed in hospitals and rural health units in the region.
According to Dr. Mary Pauline Gestosani, regional coordinator of RN HEALS, RN Heals 4 nurses who will be assigned in hospitals will start January next year while for those who will be assigned in rural areas will start in March.
Gestosani emphasized that the program, which is good for one year, is not an employment but an avenue for learning and training of registered nurses, thus, they will be given allowance during the entire year.
Meantime, she said that there is no exact allocation for the number of nurses to be deployed in every municipality because it will depend on the criteria set by the DOH.
The fourth batch will succeed the current group whose services are expected to end next year.
A total of 765 nurses, mostly from the province and city of Iloilo, were deployed in various municipalities in the region from the more than 3,000 who applied for the third batch.
RN Heals 4 applicants may apply in person should they want to be deployed in DOH hospitals at Mandurriao, Sta. Barbara, Barotac Nuevo and Bacolod while an online application is available to those who wanted to be deployed in rural areas.(Source: PNA)
